How can Counselling help you with Depression?

Counselling can be a valuable resource for individuals struggling with depression. Through a supportive and safe environment, I can help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and any underlying issues.  We can work together to develop coping strategies and help you manage life even when you are feeling sad and unmotivated.  This process encourages-reflection, helps to understand yourself better and  achieve personal growth, but above everything provides you with a space to talk and be heard . Psychological treatment can help to relieve the symptoms of depression and lower the risk of becoming depressed again – for instance, by helping you to deal with negative thoughts or challenges better.   It can also be a relief to have a better understanding of what is causing the symptoms.

Ultimately, counselling empowers you to regain control of your life whilst living with depression and gain a healthier emotional well-being.
